The presentation will feature Aboriginal savanna burning in northern Australia that abates greenhouse gas emissions. To date 1.1 million Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCU) have been produced and a new industry is developing on Aboriginal lands. The new industry provides a sustainable income, jobs and good land management as well as maintaining traditional ecological knowledge.The savanna burning methodology uses traditional ecological knowledge of fire and improves environmental, social and cultural co-benefits
